Today the kids and I are starting out on an “Under the Sea” adventure! This is the beginning of a five part series.
The Adventure Breakdown
- Part One, we’ll be making good ol’ fish and jellyfish
- In Part Two, we’ll make a starfish and coral
- A king crab is what we’ll be making in Part Three
- In Part Four, we’ll make a shark and a seahorse
- In the last and final part, Part Five, we’ll take all of the crafts we’ve made this week and turn them into an “Under the Sea” collage
You can check back all week as I add in the links!
For today’s craft, the good ol’ fish and jellyfish, you’ll need:
- the fish and jellyfish templates
- construction paper in color of choice
- pencil to trace with
- scissors
- a hole puncher
- pipe cleaners in a variety of colors
- yarn in color of choice or a variety of colors
- other decorative supplies as desired
First print the templates and cut them out.

Then, trace the templates on to the construction paper and cut those out too.
Punch holes in the cut outs, as designated by the templates.
Thread pipe cleaners through the holes of the fish and twist.
Thread and loop the yarn through the holes of the jellyfish.
Add eyes to the fish and jellyfish, and add a smiley mouth to just the fish.
Now decorate the fish and jellyfish to your choosing, then save them for our final project on Friday!

Using yarn for the jellyfish is very creative. Looks good!
Jessica,
These are so simple and cute. I'm thinking they could be used for bedroom decorations. Very creative!
