Under the Sea Adventure: Part Four

My boys and I are continuing to work on our “Under the Sea” adventure project. We are making sharks and seahorses today!

For the Shark project you will need:

  • the shark template
  • construction paper in color of choice
  • textured paper in color of choice
  • a wiggle eye or make one of your own
  • a pencil to trace with
  • scissors
  • glue
  • decorations as desired

First, print out the template and cut it out. Trace the shark body on to the construction paper and the fin portion on to the textured paper, then cut those out too.

Glue the eye on to the shark body, then glue on the fin.

Make teeth by cutting the corners of the template off, and glue those on too.

You can decorate your shark further if you want to, but save it for tomorrow’s project along with the following Seahorse one.

For the Seahorse project you will need:

  • the seahorse template
  • construction paper in color of choice
  • patterned paper in color of choice
  • a wiggly eye or make your own eye
  • a pencil to trace with
  • scissors
  • glue
  • decorations as desired

First, print and cut out the seahorse template.

Trace the seahorse body on to the construction paper and the spikes on to the pattern paper, then cut those out too.

Line up the seahorse body to the spikes and glue together with the spikes overlapping the seahorse. Once the glue is dried, flip it over.

Then glue on the eye and draw on a face. You can leave it as is, or decorate to show off the seahorse’s belly and tale!

Give your projects some time to dry before tomorrow’s final craft in this series!
