  • Not sure what your little one should be for Halloween? These delightfully adorable costumes are sure to get your creative juices flowing. BamBam…need I say more!
  • It’s only the third full week of school for my little ones and the piles of drawings and art projects from school have filled every spot on the refrigerator that is available. This creative idea to display your kids artwork is perfect and will look great on our bookshelves.
  • If turning the pages of a book to discover the adventures on the next page isn’t excitement enough for your little one this bookmark that kids can make themselves is sure to excite. Nothing makes a child prouder then to open a book and see their own handy work (coloring on the pages doesn’t count LOL).
  • I absolutely love all these great ideas from making scarecrows together to having fun with decorations – even some fun with food to help the family have a harvest party filled with fun!

Autumn Activities, Printables, & Craft Ideas

You don’t need to be a teacher or a homeschooling parent to enjoy the great resources featured at Apples 4 the Teacher.  There is ample ideas for you to put to use on rainy days or those lazy Sunday afternoons and I just had to share it with you today.

The Autumn activities for kids features reading list suggestions, fall craft ideas, fall coloring pages, even short stories and poems to help bring the season indoors. Have you done some fall-themed projects with your kids? We’d love to have you share them in the comments below!

Have a Color? Need a Craft Idea?

Etsy is such an addiction for me and I just discovered this awesome ‘Color’ page that captured my imagination in a new way – so I’m done for.  If I don’t get any work done today, it will be because I’m exploring Etsy with it!

Click on this link, mouse over until you find a color that appeals to you and click!

I think this has a good use for coming up with craft ideas for those left over bits and pieces you have for your kids to craft with.

So have fun!

Crafty Kidlet Link Love {Sept 23, 2011}

Below are some fun posts I came across while browsing the internet this week. Some are from sites I frequent, while others are some awesome goodness I just happened upon. Enjoy (and don’t forget to mention if you tried any of these over the weekend)!

  1. This one is by far my favorite find this week – Smore’s on a Stick. Oh yes, it’s the best combination of food and crafting! I knew there was a good reason for saving lollipop sticks.
  2. With kids back in school this interesting craft putting pencils and chestnuts to use is sure to be fun! I was also thinking these Chestnut Pencil Toppers could also be used for an impromptu puppet show.
  3. Have you been craving freshly baked pumpkin seeds? I know I have and when I saw this mosaic art using pumpkin seeds craft project that even my youngest could do I was a little saddened thinking that I’d have to share my seeds.
  4. It isn’t a secret that when it comes to being crafty my kids – even my husband – can totally take the cake with me. I’m loving this Burlap Wreath. By changing out the ribbon and decor it can go from simple Autumn to Halloween and back. While it’s not a “kiddy” project it would be a perfect way for the kids to practice measuring and the older ones to work on their cutting skills.
