Back to School Lunch Money Pouch Craft

Inspired by all of the pencil case crafts, I came up with an idea to make my very forgetful son a lunch money pouch to put his snack money in.

For this project you will need:

  • a sheet of craft foam in color of your choice (my son’s favorite color is red)
  • a hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • a pen
  • a tooth pick
  • a stencil cutter
  • a pair of scissors
  • a coat button
  • some decorations of your choosing

First, take the sheet of craft foam and fold it into three equal sections.

On what will be the outside bottom flap, push the back of the coat button through the craft foam. Then, thread a tooth pick through the hole of the button and trim the tooth pick tips.

Then, fold the flaps over to line up where the button will come through and mark it with a pen. Using the stencil cutter, cut a slot for the button.

Use a hot glue gun to glue the edges of the bottom flap and the center flap together.

After the glue has cooled and hardened you can decorate the pouch.
